ART AFTER DARK: Clay Day!

Easter is well and truly over and Art After Dark is back!

Get your hands dirty and join us for a brilliantly chatty, creative evening of clay, collaboration and a little bit of strategic genius.

This Art After Dark session is all about working together to sculpt a full chess set using fast-drying clay. You’ll team up with a small group to dream up what the black and white sets should look like, then each take on a specific piece to bring to life in your own style. From kings and queens to pawns with personality, this is your chance to get imaginative and help create something completely unique.

No experience needed, just a willingness to have a go, get stuck in and enjoy a relaxed evening of making with other lovely humans. We’ll be shaping all 32 pieces in this first session, then returning the following Thursday to finish the set and put it to good use with a few chess battles.

Expect clay, conversation, creativity and a room full of people making something together from scratch.
