The Art Bank is a creative hub and community arts and music venue with a licensed café and bar selling delicious plant-based food. Our vision is to increase opportunities for access to creativity in Shepton Mallet and surrounding areas, to improve the health and wellbeing of the community and help people to think about waste and the impact we have on the environment.
The Art Bank
Housed in a former high street bank and home to the Art Bank Cafe and Rubbish Art Project, we host workshops and exhibitions that repurpose items that might otherwise end up in landfill. We provide a creative platform for the community and a space for artists to hold workshops. The ArtBank programmes free creative immersive events in the town centre to bring the community together and show case the independent spirit of Shepton Mallet.
The Bank offers a friendly and inclusive space where people can get together, talk collaborate and support each other under the umbrella of creativity.

The Art Bank Cafe serves affordable and delicious plant-based food with a number of gluten free options. The full menu is served Thursdays to Saturdays from 12 – 3. Drinks, vegan cake and our signature brownies are available during the cafe's opening hours.
After hours it is a bar that hosts live music, open mics, spoken word, comedy, theatre and eclectic DJ sets in a beautiful, magical setting that is always evolving.
